City of Houston - wastewater analytics

Through Ardurra, I’m embedded full-time with the City of Houston’s wastewater utility on its federal consent decree program. In my first five months I rebuilt 40 operational and compliance dashboards that had been locked in vendor Power BI, covering SCADA, lab compliance, work orders, sewer overflows, sewer rehab, GIS service-area planning, and 100-year flow projections.

Stack: Python, DuckDB, Parquet, pandas, S3, vanilla JS, Chart.js, Leaflet, TMDL/DAX.

Agentic tools: Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity.

The public version

Client data stays private, so I published a public version of this work: eleven dashboards on fully synthetic data, generated by seeded Python scripts. They’re built for locked-down government machines, with no server, no build step, and no network. Everything runs from a local file, with a hand-built cross-filtering engine in vanilla JS.
