From DEXA Data to Patient Action: AI-Assisted Body Composition Reporting in Bariatric Care
Presented at the 7th International Bariatric Club World Congress, University of Oxford, 2026
First-author study of AI-assisted body-composition reporting in bariatric care: turning raw DEXA scan data into personalized, clinically guardrailed patient reports, and what that changes about patient understanding and follow-up.
The study covers a retrospective dataset of 9,091 scans from 2,709 patients at an independent practice. (This is a research dataset, distinct from the patient population of the production reporting platform I operate.)
Status: presented at the 7th International Bariatric Club World Congress, University of Oxford, September 2026. The abstract is to appear in a British Journal of Surgery congress supplement.
